There are a number of reasons for us to participate or put together a great fundraiser. No matter what that reason is you are going to have to come up with great fundraiser ideas that are going to attract people and give them the desire to want to participate, volunteer, and give you the money for that cause.
Festivals
If you have a sizable budget than why not put together a festival around a family holiday? Ask various vendors to donate their time and services. You could even volunteer other people to make food or have games. This is a great family gathering. You could do face painting, bounce houses, and other carnival like games.
Raffle
Raffles are actually a very common way for people to raise money. This is best used when you are in a school or Church community. You want to sell them at different times of the day to family and friends and people that attend with you. Set a price and than auction off a product that they are going to want to get their hands on.
Read-A-Thon
This is one of the most unique ideas that you could use and one that could bring in a lot of people who love to read. Ask people to donate their time and read as many books as they can in a month. Have them ask people to pledge a certain amount of money per book that they read. This is a great way for kids to participate and raise money for schools. Parents will encourage their kids to participate and pledge for them. Make sure everyone gets a medal and the winner gets a special prize.
