Many Churches will have the need to raise money so that missionaries will be able to spread the gospel to various countries or so that the youth group will be able to go on a choir tour in a nearby state. There are quite a few church fundraising ideas that everyone can participate in and that will help to bring in groups of people to donate to the cause.
Car Wash
The most obvious and one of the most effective is a car wash. All you have to do is set up in a parking lot of the Church or in a nearby business. Try to advertise to the congregation a week in advance and have people outside holding up signs and pointing the way.
The great thing about this is that many people are willing to pay a few bucks to have someone else wash their car for them. It helps that the money will be going to help other people. Just make sure you have plenty of helpers, running water, soap, buckets, sponges, and towels.
Yard Sale
This is another great and very effective fundraiser to have. You can hold this at someone’s home or at the Church. This allows the whole congregation to become involved. A month in advance you can ask people to donate anything that they do not want. That is all they have to do.
Other people who wish to do more to help can set it up and keep track of what is selling. Just make sure that you have plenty of signs to lead people to you. It is hard for someone to resist a good yard sale!
Bake Sale
Why not set up a booth at a local fair, festival, or other local event. Bake an assortment of cookies, muffins, and breads to sell at your booth. Make sure to add a variety of flavors and have samples of what you are selling. If people can taste the food beforehand they will be more likely to buy more.
