Breast cancer is one of the most common diseases that is able to affect both men and women no matter how old or what race they are. It is sad to see people, young and old, having to go through the battle of chemotherapy and hoping that they are going to make it out ok. There is little that we are able to do except to help raise money for breast cancer research in the hopes that one day a cure might be found.
There are a number of breast cancer fundraising ideas that you are able to choose from. In the end you want to be able to reel people in and to show them just how they can do their part to help out the hundreds of thousands of people that are inflicted by the disease.
Wine Tasting
Sometimes when you need to raise a large sum of money you need to be able to attract the people who make the big bucks. Wine tasting is a very sophisticated event and one that people or any social standing are going to want to partake in no matter what the reason is.
Speak with your local real estate agent and ask if they would be willing to host a breast cancer fundraiser at a for sale listing. This will be something that will benefit the event and help the real estate to mingle and hopefully meet potential buyers.
You will also need to speak with a local winery or liquor store and ask them to donate some wine to the occasion. Make sure they understand that the donation is tax deductible and the cause that they will be benefiting. For appetizers speak with a local caterer for donations.
Walk For The Cause
This is a sensitive subject for most people because almost everyone knows someone that has died or has been diagnosed with breast cancer. In the end you will receive the most help when you reach out to the whole community. Set up a walk at the local high school track.
There you could set up tents with food and water. People will be able to have others donate for them to walk a certain amount and will get a free breast cancer awareness t-shirt out of it.
Speak with the local high school about hosting the walk there and set up a time for everyone to be there. It is best to start early in the morning and disband by the early to middle afternoon.
You should also speak with a local printing company and ask them to donate their services. That way you will be able to make the t-shirts for everyone.
